Skreppa Cowl by Jennifer Shiels Toland Introduction to Brioche Class
Wednesdays, July 17, 24, 31 from 6:00-7:30pm (the first class is 6:00-8:00pm)
$65 plus supplies*
Students will learn how to work knit (brk) and purl (brp) brioche stitches, in addition to the basics of brioche increases and decreases while knitting the worsted weight version of Jennifer Shiels Toland’s Skreppa Cowl. To take the class, students should be knitting/purling, including simple increases/decreases. Students should feel comfortable reading patterns, but experience reading charts is not required. Recommended yarns for this class are Imbue (worsted) from Brooklyn Tweed, Cumbria (worsted) from The Fibre Co., Homestead Worsted from Primrose Yarns, Woolstok from Blue Sky Fibers and Alpakka Ull from Sandnes Garn.
*Supplies need to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but class participants will receive a 10% discount on non-sale supplies. They will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class for future projects. We recommend that needles are purchased from Wasatch and Wool as there are significant differences between needle brands.
*Classes, if cancelled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise. There are no exchanges or refunds for classes cancelled less than 10 days from the first day of class. Participants not using yarn from Wasatch and Wool will be charged an additional $30.
