Musselburgh Hat - Advanced Beginner Hat Class

Musselburgh Hat** – Mondays, March 24, April 7 & 21 from 5:30-7:30pm ($70)

Learn how to knit the Musselburgh Hat by Ysolda Teague! This is an advanced beginner class for those who can knit and purl and have successfully finished a few projects. Ideally, this knitter will also have some experience in working in the round. The skills taught in this class will be the pinhole cast-on, using double-pointed needles, increasing and decreasing stitches, understanding gauge, and knitting in the round. Though Musselburgh hat can be knit using different yarn weights, DK will be used in this class. Recommended yarns for the class are Leizu DK from Julie Asselin, Double Sunday from Sandnes Garn, Pure Alpaca from Rowan, or any Dragon Hoard DK weight yarn.

* Please note that supplies need to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but as a thank you for attending our classes, students will receive a 10% discount on all non-sale supplies. They will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class for all non-sale purchases. Participants not using yarn from Wasatch and Wool will be charged an additional $35. We recommend that needles are purchased from Wasatch and Wool as there are significant differences between needle brands.
