Midnight Dancer Sock Knitting Class
Midnight Dancer Sock Knitting Class.
Saturdays, February 1, 15 and March 1 from 4-5:30pm.
$60 plus supplies*
Learn to knit these easy cuff down socks using a short row heel. (Knitters should be comfortable working in the round and using magic loop or double pointed needles prior to the class.) Techniques that will be introduced in the class are German Short Rows, measuring your feet for socks, and how to graft stitches together using the Kitchener Stitch.
Midnight Dancer by Sari Nordlund are simple socks with ruffled cuffs. They are simple enough for the office and work beautifully as party accessories. The ruffles also look cute with boots.
Supplies needed for the class are Midnight Dancer by Sari Nordlund pattern, US #1.5 (2.5mm) knitting needles (either double pointed or 32" (80cm circular), stitch markers, and 100grams of fingering weight yarn. I suggest Myth Fingering from Dragon Hoard Yarn, Salta Fingering from Yarnaceous Fibers, or Isager Sock Yarn.
**The fine print on classes:
*Yarn needs to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool or there will be an additional $35 class fee. Class participants will receive a 10% discount on non-sale supplies. They will also receive the 10% discount on the final day of class for future knitting projects. We recommend that needles are purchased from Wasatch and Wool as there are significant differences between needle brands.
*Classes, if canceled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class with the same instructor only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise. There are no exchanges or refunds for classes cancelled less than 10 days from the first day of class.
