Pickles was founded in 2009 in Norway. Two advertising agency colleagues Heidi Grønvold and Anna Enge started Pickles as a knitting blog where they shared ideas with each other. (Think of it as a Norwegian Modern Daily Knitting.) They quickly gained a following and starting their own line was the next logical step. For years the yarn could only be purchased in their Oslo store or website, now a select group of stores outside of Norway carry their yarn. We are the only US store.
The first yarn we brought in is Pickles Merino Worsted (Tjukk Merino). This is their softest yarn. It is loosely spun and can be used on everything from tightly knitted projects on thin needles, to airy garments. The yarn is made from very soft fibers which are found on the innermost part of the sheep’s fleece. It can be knit on its own or with a strand of mohair.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Returns
Shipping
Orders are generally shipped within 3 business days of order being placed. Occasionally due to factors beyond our control (weather delays for example) it may take longer. If this happens, we will notify you when the package ships. Please note that once your package has been delivered to the shipping provider, we have no control over the speed at which your package moves.
We offer a flat shipping fee of $11 for domestic ground shipping on all orders. We currently ship UPS and USPS.
Returns
Because we want every customer buying the highest quality new product, yarn that still has its label attached and has not been wound can be exchanged for a Wasatch and Wool gift card, store-credit or other in-stock store items if returned to the store within 60 days.
Books, magazines, patterns and discounted (sale) yarn cannot be returned or exchanged. Classes, if cancelled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise.
