No Waste Wool from Knitting for Olive

Knitting for Olive's No Waste Wool is a sustainable yarn, blending together 50% recycled wool with 50% of our extrafine, traceable, non-museled Merino. The wool is Global Recycle Standard and Responsible Wool Standard certified, with the recycled wool a waste product from the production of other wool yarn. They collect the excess wool fibers, blend it with the merino wool and spin the wool blend into a new yarn. This way they use the wool fibers that would otherwise be wasted and reduce waste in yarn productions. The 50% merino wool prevents the yarn from breaking easily, which is often the case with pure recycled yarn.
