Cumulus Rainbow from Juniper Moon Farm
Cumulus Rainbow from Juniper Moon Farm
True to its name, Cumulus, a 94% Israeli Mako Cotton and 6% nylon blend, has a velvety soft and fluffy texture (what you might expect from touching a cloud.)
Knitting with Cumulus is like wrapping yourself in a cozy embrace, making it ideal for garments and accessories worn close to the skin, but don’t let its softness deceive you. It holds up well through the wash. The label says to hand wash and dry flat, which is what I would do, but a lot of knitters have found that the yarn does well with machine washing and even being put in the dryer on delicate in a washbag. My Juniper Moon yarn rep regularly puts her Cumulus projects in the washer and dryer.
Despite its lofty appearance, Cumulus maintains excellent stitch definition, allowing intricate patterns and textures to shine through. Whether you're creating delicate lace motifs or simple stockinette stitches, Cumulus ensures that every stitch stands out beautifully.
Dyed in innovative rainbow shades using a very long color repeats; which in the knitting can show up as large striped areas of the same color. Each ball starts and ends at the same color for easy transition to keep the color progression in a large project. Fun to knit with & watch the Rainbow unfold before your eyes!
Cumulus offers exceptional breathability, keeping you comfortable in a wide range of temperatures.
