Christmas Stockings Class

Sundays, Sept 20, 27 & October 4, 11, & 18 from 10 am - 12 pm

The holiday season is right around the corner, and this darling stocking knits up quickly for loved ones! In class, we’ll cover Judy’s magic cast-on, stranded colorwork, how to turn a heel with a heel flap and gusset, and some important finishing techniques! Latvian braids and ladderback jacquard will be taught optionally for adding some pizzazz (and a name!) to your stockings. Knitters in this class should feel comfortable knitting, purling, increasing/decreasing and working in the round.

Recommended yarn is 100g of each worsted weight yarn (one in a main, one in a contrasting color) in Cascade 220, Berroco Ultra Wool, Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted, or Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino.

Recommended needles are US 3 circular needles in 16” AND 32” or 40”.

*Please note that supplies need to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but as a thank you for attending our classes, students will receive a 10% discount on all non-sale supplies (excluding patterns). Patterns also need to be purchased for the class. Students will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class for all non-sale purchases. 

Classes, if cancelled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise. There are no exchanges or refunds for classes cancelled less than 10 days from the first day of class.
