Upcoming June Classes

Upcoming June Classes!

Tori is teaching three new classes in June! These sell out quickly so sign up soon...

Uncle's Christmas Stocking Class
Saturdays, June 14, 21, 28, July 12, and 26 from 9-11am
$130

This is a great time to learn how to knit Christmas stockings! You might want to begin a new tradition and have completed stockings ready for the holidays.(This means you need to start now!)

Tori will lead you through Uncle’s Christmas Stocking by Dorene Delaney Giordano. Students will learn Judy's Magic Cast-on, stranded colorwork, turning a heel using a gusset, ladderback jacquard and finishing techniques. There is also an option to learn the Latvian Braid if you are interested.

Though the pattern calls for a sport weight yarn, Tori recommends using a worsted weight yarn such as Berroco Ultra Wool. This is a class for knitters who are comfortable knitting, purling, making increases/decreases and working in the round.

TAAT (Two at a TIme) Socks Class
Mondays, June 16, July 7, July 28 from 4-6pm
$80

Socks are a wonderful summer knitting project! Are you going camping or hiking? They are the perfect project to bring with you as they take up no room.

Tori’s class will cover the basics of toe-up sock construction including using magic loop, how to measure feet and 'riff' off a basic pattern. Here at the store, we carry many beautiful sock yarns that you will enjoy using for this project. Some are dyed here in Utah!

This is a class for knitters who are comfortable working in the round with magic loop or double pointed needles. (Knowledge of magic loop will make this class much easier.)

Learn to Knit Sampler Scarf
Tuesdays, June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 29 from 5-6:30pm, first class is until 7pm
$110

Come join us and learn to knit! Tori will guide you through the basics of how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches as well as using them both in a stitch pattern. This class is your first step in learning how to make hats, blankets, sweaters, mittens, and the list goes on. We will be using Beginner's Stitch Sampler Scarf by Kristina Tucker.

Our recommended yarns for this class are Rios from Malabrigo and Cumbria (worsted weight) from The Fibre Co.

*Please note that supplies for all classes need to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but as a thank you for signing up and attending, students will receive a 10% discount on all non-sale supplies. They will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class for all non-sale purchases. Participants not using yarn from Wasatch and Wool will be charged an additional $35. We recommend that needles are also purchased from Wasatch and Wool as there are significant differences between needle brands.

Classes cannot be cancelled or exchanged. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise.

To thank our locals and visitors who are in town during Park City’s version of spring, we are increasing the discount from 30% to 40% on all our sale merchandise in our third room!

Our Wednesday help sessions are back!

We are very fortunate to have Annabel Jamail joining us on Wednesdays from 11:00am-1:30pm. If you need a friendly person to look over your knitting or have a question about a particular stitch, these sessions are for you! The cost is $25 per session. They are free if your yarn was purchased from Wasatch and Wool!

Join us Wednesday mornings at 11am for our Sit and Stitch.

There is no charge, but we request that you use yarn purchased from Wasatch and Wool.

We love it when visitors drop by for our knitting get-togethers. If you are working on a project from home, let us help you find a souvenir that you can bring back from your trip to Park City.

Happy Knitting and Crocheting,
Margaux
