Thank you for 11 wonderful years!

The past 11 years of owning and working in the store (even the year of meeting people at Hugo’s Coffee with Home Depot boxes packed with yarn) have been years full of joy.  The experience of getting to know you all, cheering you on through different projects, and watching you all create beautiful handmade works of art have truly been a wonderful journey.

Now is the time for me to take a step back, take better care of myself and create new adventures and experiences outside the store. (Also, winters in Park City, for someone who doesn’t ski as much as they used to, have become incredibly long!)

Back in May, I attended the trade show where yarn companies exhibit and show what is new or will be highlighted in the upcoming year. While I realized during that trip that I’m not the person to bring these yarns to you, it became clear that there is a wonderful world of craft and creating awaiting knitters and crocheters.

I am hoping to pass Wasatch and Wool on to a new owner (or owners.) If this turn-key yarn store is something that interests you, please contact me. I would love to talk to you. As a possibility, I would be happy to stay involved with Wasatch and Wool though not as a full-time owner or as a full-time employee.

In the meantime, we have a wonderful sale starting Tuesday, June 24th. It is 20% off all full priced yarns in the first two rooms and 40% off in the back room. This is also the time to redeem your gift cards!

If there is not a new owner, I anticipate closing on August 30th. My lease ends on September 30th. Please stop by to see and shop our beautiful yarn from Knitting for Olive, Sandnes Garn, Julie Asselin, WoolDreamers, Isager, Dragon Hoard, Rowan, Brooklyn Tweed and many others. We will also continue our Wednesday morning open knitting sessions through August.
