Spring Has Sprung: Cotton Yarns, Fresh Patterns & New Arrivals

The days are getting longer, the mountains are thawing (much faster than we all would have liked), and our fingers are itching to cast on something light and breezy. Spring is officially here and we've got the yarns, patterns, and new arrivals to match the season.

Cast On Something Fresh with Sandnes Garn Line

If you haven't worked with Sandnes Garn Line yet, spring is the perfect reason to start. This cotton/linen blend yarn is smooth, breathable, and comes in a palette that feels like it was made for the season. Think soft neutrals, vibrant yellows, warm terracottas, and crisp whites. It's a dream to knit with, softens as you wash and even better to wear when the temperatures start to climb.

I'm especially loving it paired with the Lusk Tee by Rebecca Clow on Ravelry. This relaxed, modern tee is a quick knit with many different pattern options; plain, stripes and a beautiful textured pattern to keep things interesting which is ideal for knitters who want a quick, wearable finish before summer arrives. Grab your Line and queue it up!

Introducing Fiber MacGyver!

We're thrilled to announce that we've added a new range of yarns from Fiber MacGyver to the shop! Known for their inventive colorways and high-quality fibers, Fiber MacGyver brings a playful, artisan spirit to your stash. We're stocking two of their yarns to start:

  • Merino Alpaca — a luxuriously soft blend perfect for cozy accessories and layering pieces.
  • Shaniko DK — a versatile workhorse weight ideal for garments, shawls, and everything in between.

I would love to hear what colors you love most, and what colors you'd like to see carried! I'm looking forward to bringing in more Fiber MacGyver lines to the store and would love your feedback.

I especially love the Shaniko yarn and want to talk about it. I love it not only for its softness and "squishiness", but also because it comes from a responsibly sourced farm using regenerative soil practices. Shaniko Wool Company is certified under the Responsible Wool Standard. I am very passionate about sustainable/local sources, and I am excited to support and showcase a company that values animal welfare and responsible land practices. You can read more about Shaniko Wool here.

Whether you're drawn to bold hand-dyed tones or subtle semi-solids, there's something in this range for every project and every knitter. Stop by the shop or browse online to explore the full collection, the yarn is going fast!

Speaking of local...

I'm so pleased to bring Honeybee wool into the shop!! This is a really special company. Honeybee was created by two best friends that decided to buy some sheep and raise them together. The sheep have all come from throughout Utah and reside in Woods Cross, UT. We have many beautiful natural colors in Worsted and DK from each of their sheep in color varieties of deep rich brown to soft natural. Their adorable lamb videos are on their Instagram @honeybeewool and they are THE CUTEST!

JOIN US March 27th!!

We will be visiting their farm to see their shearing day and enjoy their fleece, yarn, and the cutest lambs and sheep!

They will be shearing from 3:00-5:30 pm. Meetup with us at 1280 W. 1500 S. Woods Cross, UT.

If anyone is interested in carpooling, contact me and we can connect on rides.
