Morning Knitting🌷, Utah Yarn Crawl, and New Rowan

Thank you to everyone who came out (then inside, then back outside, then back inside) for World Wide Knit in Public Day! Though the weather made it challenging at times, it was a fun day. There were great projects and wonderful conversations being shared.
Summer Morning Knitting and Crocheting
We will to continue to use our pocket park for future get-togethers this summer so we can enjoy the outdoors while knitting and crocheting. Please join us for our weekly Summer Morning Knitting and Crocheting on Wednesdays at 10am beginning July 5th. Note: Summer Morning Knitting and Crocheting will replace Knit Nights this summer.
Prefer evening knitting? We have you covered with a summer yarn tasting. Yarn which we will be stocking this fall winter 23/24 will be available for sample knitting or crocheting. More details on that will be announced soon.

Help Sessions
Do you need a quick refresher on how to do a Slip Slip Knit (SSK) or a Left-Slanting Make 1 (M1L)? Do you want someone to look over your project every now and then to see how you are progressing, or even some structured time to complete a project that has been on your needles for much too long? Our new help sessions may be exactly what you are looking for. The first help session will be July 6th from 9:30-11am and will cost $15. This is a great opportunity to ask the 5 minute (or less) question.
If you need more in-depth help, such as learning to knit or needing us to read through an entire multi-page pattern, you will want to take advantage of private lessons that are now being taught at the store. Classes are $20 per half hour and $35 for a full hour. Please ask us for more information and to schedule a time for you to meet with one of our instructors.

Utah Yarn Crawl
We are so excited to be back in the Utah Yarn Crawl this year which is being held from July 8th to July 15th. The tagline for this year’s crawl is Yarn Elevated, and this is exactly what we hope to do. This year, our store theme is how happy we are to be back open. We will be highlighting our new yarn lines such as Knitting for Olive, Woolfolk, Sandnes Garn, Carol Feller, Fonty, Lamana, Dragon Hoard, The Back Country Knitter and Julie Asselin as well as some favorites from our former Redstone Location including Rowan, Blue Sky Fibers, The Fibre Co., Quince & Co. Primrose Yarn Co., Brooklyn Tweed, Clinton Hill Cashmere, Lang and Yarnaceous.

I am also happy to announce that we are officially (once again) a Rowan Flagship Store! Rowan Knitting and Crochet Magazine Number 73 and a new shipment of spring/summer yarn have just arrived.
From the very first pattern this collection includes something that you want to knit or crochet for yourself or for a loved one.
Giselle is the epitome of casual summer style. Wear this lacy cotton tunic from Anna Hull with a pair of jeans or as a stylish coverup. This relaxed knit is worked in Summerlite DK with ribbed borders and an i-cord detail at the open neck.
Another pattern from Anna Hull is Camille, which will be a wonderful way to stay cool this summer. This lovely lightweight tee features verticals of lace which travel the length of the stocking stitch tee. The center verticals divide at the top to form the flattering V-neck and delicate straps. Knitted in Summerlite 4-ply, there are so many beautiful colors to choose from.
Perfect for carefree summer days, Adele was designed by Erika Knight and is also knitted in beautifully soft and fine Summerlite 4-ply. The delicate all-over lace is edged with a pretty chevron border at the hem and cuffs. Erika incorporates the V-neck into the body for a smooth, seamless look.
Head down to the beach with Rock Pool this fun unisex hoodie from designer Martin Storey. Knitted in Softyak DK, choose from a starfish or shell motif for a coastal casual look. This pullover is also available in children’s sizes with a choice of alternative motifs such as the turtle shown above.
Add some texture to your sweater style with Mullion, an all-year-round knit also from Martin Storey. Softyak DK is a great choice for this all-over cable design. Bordered with a lace rib detail, this unisex sweater is also available in children’s sizing.
And finally, pack everything you need for a fun-filled day by the sea (or mountains) in Beach a gorgeous knit bag from Anna Hull. Knitted using three shades of Handknit Cotton, the base of the bag is knitted first and then the body is picked up and knitted in the round. Lined with interfacing for a sturdy finish, this striped beach bag is both practical and stylish.
