One way of saying "I love you" is with cashmere. Cashmere lasts longer than roses or chocolate (unless the chocolate ends up on the hips!) and feels wonderful to knit or crochet and to wear. Making this nice for your wallet, we are putting our Rowan Pure Cashmere and Cardiff Cashmere Classic on sale through May 20th at 25% off.
Velvety soft Rowan Pure Cashmere yarn is the result of a collaboration between Rowan and famed Scottish cashmere company Todd & Duncan which has been spinning and dyeing cashmere for over 150 years. This DK weight yarn produces wonderful stitch definition and tends to pill less than other cashmere. Pure Cashmere is spun on the shores of Loch Leven, in a mill that has both generations of tradition and environmentally conscious practices. Pure Cashmere offers excellent stitch definition and is ideal for cables and lace, making it a perfect yarn for luxurious sweaters and accessories.
The gorgeous hat shown above is Shay by Quail Studio. The pattern calls for only one skein of Pure Cashmere making it a wonderful gift for mom.
Cardiff Cashmere Classic is a wonderfully soft and luxurious yarn to work with and to wear. This DK weight 100% cashmere yarn can be used in everything from simple accessories to more complicated sweaters and cardigans. This cashmere also offers beautiful stitch definition.
Sophie Scarf by PetiteKnit
The Sophie Scarf by PetiteKnit was the most knit project on Ravelry in 2022. Looking at its popularity and the number of similar patterns that have also been released, the smaller scarf is an important new trend in knitwear.
Sophie Scarf is worked back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip in garter stitch with a built in i-cord edge. The smaller scarf which uses only one ball of Cardiff Cashmere Classic reaches around the neck once, while the larger size can wrap around the neck twice.

Nua Sport
We are happy to announce that we now carry Stolen Stitches by Carol Feller Nua Sport. Nua Sport is a blend of 60% merino, 20% yak, and 20% linen. Each of these fibers were chosen to create a wonderful yarn blend. Merino provides a soft, squishy, and versatile base. The yak adds a silkiness, so the yarn flows through your fingers, and finally the linen adds strength and durability.
If you have been following knitwear designer and teacher Carol Feller, you know her beautiful designs and the gorgeous yarn she created especially for them. You would also know about her knit-alongs that are more like mini-classes as you work your way through your project.
The shipment from Europe arrived in perfect time to participate in her Spring 2023 KAL (knit-along).

The Spring KAL project which uses Nua Sport is the Holly Blue Cardigan, a top-down circular yoke cardigan with lace detail which is shown above. Carol has posted a video on YouTube that describes the KAL and Holly Blue Cardigan in more detail. Another nice aspect of the cardigan is that you have the option to alter it by shortening the length or the sleeves if you prefer or to make it more fitted. Carol will give tips on how to do this as you knit-along.
The dates of the KAL are:
Clue 1: 11th May 2023
Clue 2: 25th May 2023
Clue 3: 8th June 2023
Grand Prize: 22nd June 2023
Many of us are traveling right now so staying on this schedule will be a challenge. Not to worry. When you purchase the pattern, you gain access to Carol's full video workshop for the Blue Holly Cardigan with step-by-step instructions that you can watch at your leisure. If you decide to join the knit-along, mark your calendar for Thursday, June 15th at 1pm. We will have a share your progress (or even wear your new cardigan!) to celebrate your knitting.
One last thing...
Carol has a lovely Irish brogue which is so nice to listen to.

Tabouli by Carol Feller
If you are more of an independent knitter and want to knit one of Carol's patterns on your own, Tabouli is another pattern suggestion. Also designed for Nua Sport, Tabouli features an intertwining lace and cable detail that weaves along the shoulders, sleeves and body.
This cardigan starts at the center of the saddle on the back of the neck, working to each side. The body is then picked up and worked from the top down. Finally short rows are used to shape the sleeve caps and the sleeves are worked from the top down in the round.
