Intermediate Level Class - Students should feel comfortable knitting, purling, and reading a written pattern and have successfully knit a project using magic loop before taking this class.

Thursdays from 9:30-11am September 14th and 28th.

Musselburgh from Ysolda Teague is the most popular project on Ravelry. What makes Musselburgh fun is that it is knit from the top down which is unusual for a hat. It can be knit in one color or two if you want your brim to be a different color, or as the hat is reversible, you can make it two different colors. Make the hat for yourself or as a gift for someone special.

*Yarn needed in this class is a total of 100-150 grams of fingering, sport or dk wool yarn in one or two colors, two sets of needles one 16” circular and one 32” circular in the appropriate size for your yarn and stitch markers.

Skills taught in this class will be the Pinhole Cast-On, a review of the magic-loop kntting in the round technique, the make-one left (M1L) and make-one right (M1R), and how to modify your hat so that you can have a different colored brim, or have the hat be reversible in a different color. We will also review measuring gauge.

Please note that for all classes:

*Yarn needs to be purchased from Wasatch and Wool Yarns, but class participants will receive a 10% discount on non-sale supplies. They will also receive a 10% discount on the final day of class. We recommend that needles are purchased from Wasatch and Wool as there are significant differences between needle brands.

*Classes, if cancelled 10 days before the first day of class, can be exchanged for a future class only. We enforce this policy on behalf of our teachers who have committed their time and expertise. There are no exchanges or refunds for classes cancelled less than 10 days from the first day of class. Participants not using yarn from Wasatch and Wool will be charged an additional $30.
